We are working on sorting puppies by geographic region too, but that will take a while! In the meantime, we are attempting learn more about specific breeders near you.
The name "Boxer Puppies for Sale" may be slightly misleading- but only slightly. Eventually you will see more and more kennels listed here. Kennels which we will first correspond with- learn about, and to the extent possible "background check" with their country organisations and past customers as to the health standards of their Boxer puppies for sale. We want to emphasise "health" standards because while we like looking at show Boxers as much as any lover of the breed does, our emphasis at BPfS sre NOT on champions.... but rather on puppies generated by programmes that are dedicated to the long term wellness of the breed. Of course, prize breeders do NOT neccesarily put trophies before genetic health. (In fact, in an ideal world show champions would all come from the breed friendliest of programs!) It is just that BPFS is not tailored to the "show crowd" - but rather to breeders and buyers of Boxers who love Boxers just for their "Boxerness" as opposed to their, for example, "Flashiness". (of course we lobe Flashy Boxers too!- but you know what we mean...) We have to seperate goals here on the puppy pages: 1) For breeders- we don't want to provide just another sales route, but rather a place that focusses on developing a "groupthink" on the international level- and literally "pooling" the international Boxer Gene Pool to create a more diverse, and healthier breed. Of course if we introduce you to a customer here, that is fine too! 2) For pet owners- as Bill Clinton once said, "Education! Education! Education!"- our goal is to mix Bill's Philosophy with Al Gore's invention of the Internet to educate "normal everyday" Boxer lovers(like ouselves)as to the most important issues concenring the breed. In the long term, better educated pet-owners, who learn to love and respect the breed will buy only from breeders that stress the breed-"friendliness" of their programs.
